Fourleaf Case Studies
Co2Active
The mission of Co2Active is to help its corporate and individual clients go carbon neutral. Their role is to find land that’s suitable - geographically, environmentally and financially - for conversion to woodland. Not only does it offset the carbon footprint, but it also provides their clients with an appreciating asset and helps them save tax as it can be wrapped in a tax efficient investment scheme.
Once the land has been purchased, Co2Active then plan how to plant that land, and provide access to the timber it will eventually contain. As the woodland becomes established, they revisit for regular maintenance and management to clear undergrowth, keep access tracks open and thin growth. As the wood matures, the forest manager will decide what timber can be harvested, and will create a thinning, coppicing and felling plan.
Our work with Co2Active
Corporate identity
The corporate identity that Fourleaf created was designed to be soft, flowing and friendly with a green connotation that reflected the companies’ service offering. It also has a corporate feel to it since its main target audience is B2B rather than B2C. Additionally, our project remit included the name generation element which is a play on words utilizing the “joint action” meaning of “coactive” and breaking into two with the CO2 carbon dioxide symbol.
Corporate stationery
The corporate stationery was also designed to be clean and pure mimicking the service offering. The choice of paper stock was a very important consideration. Fourleaf advised the client on the environmental impact of the paper choices and that often, due to the bleach used in the process, a recycled paper stock can be more environmentally damaging than that from a certified sustainable source. As a result the reverse of the cards, and also the letterhead footer, carried the slogan “replanted not recycled” which explained that every element of the companies’ choices and their environmental impact had a considered approach.
Brochure design
The elegant sixteen page brochures were designed to be “clean and pure” which worked alongside the identity that Fourleaf created. The brochures were also printed on paper stock from certified sustainable sources with vegetable dye inks making their environmental impact as low as possible.
